Thank you, Run Ranger Run Teams!

February 13, 2018

Thank you to everyone who signed up to participate in the 2018 Run Ranger Run benefitting GallantFew. Here at CCF, we’re amazed at how many teams have signed up to participate. Right now, the team count stands at 34!

Teams can recruit friends and co-workers to help fulfill the 565 miles that need to be completed and documented in February. You don’t even have to do the miles together; just log your miles individually from your home or gym as they add up. Mileage updates are due every Thursday by the end of the day, and must be emailed directly to Shelly Lawrence,

Executive Director of Community Relations for Carrington Charitable Foundation, for them to be counted. Any miles submitted after the end of the day on Thursday will be counted toward the next week, and you will not receive the matching funds until then.

In past years, Carrington has supported an external team participating in the Run Ranger Run event, but this year, instead of just providing financial contributions, it’s our turn to move, sweat and fundraise for the cause. Ask friends to sponsor you with as little as 50 cents/mile you run.

CCF has pledged $5 for every mile run by Carrington Associates ONLY (that means no spouses, friends, etc.). The mile-by-mile match applies until CCF has donated up to $50,000 to this event. That means that together we have to run at least 10,000 miles by the end of February.

The mission of GallantFew is of critical importance: “to prevent Veteran isolation by connecting new Veterans with hometown Veteran mentors, thereby facilitating a peaceful, successful transition from military service to a civilian life filled with hope and purpose.” That’s why GallantFew is one of our favorite charities, and why we’re so proud to participate in the 2018 Run Ranger Run.
